    2024 - Birmingham Royal Ballet - Luna

    Congratulations to Casper, he has gained a place to perform alongside the Birmingham Royal Ballet in their forthcoming production of Luna.     2024 - Assistant Dance Teaching Diploma 3

    Congratulations to Isabelle, Millie, Mackenzie & Hannah who all gained Distinctions in their Diploma 3 Assistant Dance Teaching Examination - IDTA. This is an incredible achievement after so much work. They can now be hired as qualified assistant dance teachers across the UK.

    2023 - Leed Conservatoir - Musical Theatre Course

    A student at Timmins Academy of the last 15 years, we are all very proud of Willow Poulton for gaining a place on the Musical Theatre course at Leeds Conservatoire, commencing in September 23. Good Luck Willow, you will be missed by us all.

    2022/23 year saw the beginning of the of the Senior Advanced Program being launched. The group made us proud at prestigious competitions in the Midlands, we look forward to next years show where they will display new choreography for the first time to the rest of the school.

  • Parent/Toddler Dance - Romsley & Halesowen

    In 2023 we launched the first Parent/Toddler Dance Class.

    2022/23 saw the launch of the new Parent/Toddler Dance Class at the Romsley Scout Hut, this is an important step for lots of young dancers, with the comfort and security of their parents or carers in the room as well, the class is immersive, fun and friendly allowing little ones to take their first steps into the world of dance. The class is for children 15 months - pre-school age.

    2023 - Choreographic Prize

    Congratulation to the Advanced Dance Students for executing new choreography this year and winning their section at the South Staffs Theatre Arts Festival, the piece created by Timmins Academy Alumni - Grace Willetts also won a choreographic prize at the festival! Well done all!

    2022 - Wonderous Stories by Motion House

    A perfect way to end winter and start spring, Timmins Academy were extremely fortunate to be have had students perform a new choreography for the Cultural Opening of the Commonwealth Games in Centenary Square, Birmingham.

    The brilliantly immersive performance was choreographed and produced by Motion House and led by Critical Mass. With thanks to everyone involved it truly was an incredible 7 shows for our students to remember.

    Congratulations alumna Talia Manders, who has successfully auditioned for P&O Crusies and will set sail with the cast on the new Iona ship.     We are thrilled to announce a number of our Timmins Academy students are involved in the forthcoming Cultural opening of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022. A huge thank you to Critical Mass, Motion House and Dance Exchange for this incredible opportunity. Well done and good luck girls!

    2021 - Vocational School Success

    After a huge effort to continue training really hard during lockdowns, Eve Davis has successfully gained entrance to Performers College in Essex to complete a dance degree and further her career in the industry. Good Luck Eve, proof that hard work pays off!

    2021 - Beyond Boarders Project

    We are so proud to be asked to be a part of the project - Beyond Boarders for the Birmingham Dance Festival 2021 in partnership with the DanceExchange. Choreographer - our very own Camilla Lloyd is working with some of our Timmins girls to get this filmed on location in Clent Hills. Well done to everyone involved!

    Congratulations to Timmins Academy Alumnae Talia Manders for successfully completing her degree in Musical Theatre at Bird College Conservatoire for Dance & Musical Theatre. We look forward to following your next steps in your new profession!

    Congratulations to sisters Millie & Poppy on a successful audition for the CAT program at the Dance Exchange. The course supports a young dancers training in Contemporary Dance in the build up to auditioning for vocational schools.

    Congratulations to Millie Harper who is attending the Elmhurst Ballet School Summer Intensive. So wonderful to see schools opening their doors once more for students from a range of dance schools to join together and dance with each other. Enjoy!

    2021 - Documentary Film Released

    We are proud to have put lockdown to good use and created a documentary film of our school and showcasing all the students with new choreography. This was a huge challenge teaching and learning all the choreography on Zoom before going back in the studio and piecing it together before the film crew arrived on set. Lots of excitement from every single child and the film is out now! Thank you to everyone for incredible efforts during this.

    2021 - Documentary Film

    Exciting news… Filming has begun for our documentary film. Due to the pandemic closing theatres across the country, we decided to create a documentary film with new choreography and interviews with staff and students. We are excited to welcome Alex Fountain to Timmins to direct & film it for us.

    2021 - Pre-School Teacher Appointment

    After the sad loss of Miss Lynne Fox earlier this year we are comforted in the appointment of Camilla Lloyd to take the lead in our Pre-School classes. Camilla has trained at Timmins since a young age and was also trained as a teacher by Miss Lynne herself so we couldn’t think of a more fitting person to welcome our new young dancers into the school.

    2020 - Vocational School Success

    Grace Willetts was offered unconditional places at Stella Mann & Bird College as well as a place at Addict Dance Academy in Leicester. Grace is now doing a dance degree at Addict as well as continuing her teacher training course here at Timmins.

    Congratulations Sarah Batstone who has successfully auditioned and accepted a full time place at London Studio Centre to do a dance degree and further her training. Sarah joined Timmins quite late and did nothing but work extremely hard to get to where she is today.

    Ellie Goulding – has been offered a place at LIPA – Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Shockout Arts and Addict Dance Academy. Ellie has decided to further her training at Addict Dance Academy in September. We wish her the best of luck.

    Keisha Allchurch (centre) successfully gains a place for a second year at Elmhurst Ballet School Senior Associate program. A lot of hard work has gone into this success and will help her on her path towards a full time vocational school place when she turns 16.

    IDTA Scholarship Nominations

    IDTA scholarship nominations have been awarded to Aimee Fairbrother & Keisha Allchurch for Intermediate Ballet also nominated are Aimee, Keisha and Elle Weaver for Grade 5 Modern. These are really hard exams so a huge well done to all three girls nominated and everyone that took exams in the recent session, once again it was a 100% pass rate!
