If so we would love to hear from you to discuss career options - We offer the IDTA Level 3 Diploma in Assistant Dance Teaching and Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching. Both of these. qualifications are regulated by Ofqual and part of the national framework of regulated qualifications. Level 3 is broadly equivalent to A Level and BTEC National Diplomas.

We train students to take their first steps into the world of teaching that may have all sorts of benefits for future employment in dance schools, the arts or other teaching positions in academic schools, colleges, university's and beyond. IDTA Teachers courses are in depth and beyond Diploma Level 3 & 4 fully qualified IDTA teachers can open their own dance school businesses.

The qualifications also carry UCAS points should you wish to transfer the points to further university courses.

Enrolment

We are now enrolling students to study Diploma 3 & 4 IDTA Dance Teaching qualifications to commence in September 2023.

Application criteria:

  • Students must be aged 15+ to commence this course, examination registration is for 16+ students. For most students the duration of this course is 1 year.

  • If you have an Intermediate dance exam qualification or are training for this qualification or have a BTEC Diploma in Performing Arts or equivalent contact us now to discuss your career options.

  • Have a good understanding of the English language in written and spoken forms.

  • Experience working with children not essential, the course provides practical hours training at Timmins Academy, a DBS check will be required.
